Katie and Wade Coastal Engagement

I love when engagement sessions are personal.  Wade proposed to Katie on the shores of Mukilteo Beach with their dog Tiller.  After days of rain and even more rain in the forecast, we stumbled upon a beautiful afternoon that gave us plenty of  warm sunlight and a dramatic background of clouds that moved in at sunset. I love that Katie chose soft pinks that complimented her skin tone and created a soft palette against the green of the rocks and grass along the shore.    It is clear that this couple is not only insanely gorgeous and photogenic, but madly in love with each other and quite daring!  As the evening come to an end Katie and Wade found their feet in cold Sound water for some of my favorite images, ever!   I can't wait for their wedding in Woondville this fall, which  will no doubt we beautiful against the grapevines and wine barrels of Colombia Winery

Senior Portraits at Thomas Riley Regional Park

There really is no better time to take senior portraits in Southern California than in the spring.  The hills are alive with green grass.  Flowers are blooming in many areas and the excitement that seniors feel bring an energy to any shoot.  I took Michelle's senior portraits when she graduated high school so it was an honor to photograph her as she graduates from college.

I knew Thomas Riley Regional Park would be the perfect setting for this gorgeous girl.  The oak trees, the hills and the light that cover this park at sunset can great some of the most picturesque settings.  Additionally, shooting at Thomas Riley in the spring means the crowds are light and the options are endless.

Here is a look at Michelle's senior portraits.

The warmth of light in Southern California never disappoints!

I love that Michelle included her cap in some of her photos.  A great addition to any grad announcement, but also a way to celebrate a senior accomplishment.

Congratulations on your graduation, Michelle!  I lovedlovedloved spending the afternoon catching up with you and I am grateful for our relationship.  I know that you are going to do great things as an elementary school teacher!

As a photographer, I value artistry, authenticity, and relationship.  Working with Michelle is a an example of everything that I love about my job!
